Our Story

McAuleys Campground began with a dream. In 1979, Ray McAuley set out to create a place where families could escape the hustle of everyday life, enjoy the outdoors, and make lasting memories together. That dream became a reality when McAuleys Campground officially opened in 1980.

Ray and his wife, Shirley, raised four sons, and the campground quickly became a family affair. In the 1990s, their third son, Philip McAuley, took over the operation and continued growing the campground while carrying on the values it was built upon family, community, and creating a welcoming place for everyone.

In 2019, Philip was diagnosed with ALS. Despite the challenges he faced, his love for the campground never wavered. Following his passing in 2022, the campground was entrusted to his two children, Raymond and Annie, who proudly continue the family tradition today.

As a brother-and-sister team, we are committed to preserving the legacy our grandfather started and our father helped build. Having grown up here ourselves, we know firsthand the memories that can be made around a campfire, on a fishing trip, during a game of bingo, or while exploring the outdoors with family and friends.

Today, McAuleys Campground remains family-owned and operated, welcoming generations of campers to relax, reconnect, and create memories of their own. Whether you're visiting for a weekend getaway, a seasonal stay, or an ATV adventure, we're honored to be a part of your family's story.

Our goal is simple: to help families make the same unforgettable memories that shaped our childhood and continue to inspire us every day.
